PSALM 23 A NEW WAY OF SEEING THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD

31 January 2010 2 Comments

This is an eye opener. We have probably never looked at nor thought of Psalm 23 in this way before, even though we say it over and over again.

The Lord Is My Shepherd
That’s Relationship!

I shall not want
That’s Supply!

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures
That’s Rest!

He leadeth me beside still waters
That’s Refreshment!

He restoreth my soul
That’s Healing!

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
That’s guidance!

For His name sake
That’s Purpose!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
That’s Testing!

I will fear no evil
That’s Protection!

For thou art with me
That’s Faithfulness!

Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me
That’s Discipline!

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies
That’s Hope!

Thou anointest my head with oil
That’s Consecration!

My cup runneth over
That’s Abundance!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
That’s Blessing!

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
That’s Security!

Forever
That’s Eternity!

Our God is an awesome God and He truly reigns in all things. Face it…The Lord is crazy about YOU!!! Send this to the people you are crazy about!

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” (Ephesians 6:10).

Prayer Power

Thank you, Jesus, for being our good Shepherd who meets our every need and loves us enough to lay down your very life for us. Help us to always be mindful of the truth  of who you are and how much you love us. May we always know beyond a shadow of a doubt and by faith that you  never leave us or forsake us! We praise and bless you forevermore! Amen.

Hi Nancy, Thank you for sharing this great message about Psalm 23. While I’ve seen it before, it’s a great reminder to keep a fresh perspective regarding God’s Word and His promises. Blessings, Randy

    Randy,

Thanks for your comment. You are so right. Sometimes we just need to be reminded of what is truly meaningful and significant. It’s good to go back to the basics. I had this Psalm in my spiritual files and wanted to get it out there to encourage others who have grown battle weary in their good fight of faith. I don’t know who originally wrote the comments but they are so appropriate and true.

    Blessings!
