This was His reply:

WFJ: An Encouraging Word From God the Father

My child, it pleases your Father’s heart that you have set aside the time to sit with me for awhile.  I love to hear and read your heart and share with you My own.  This is the intimacy I long for with each and every one of My children.  I could never grow tired of communing with each one because I created each one uniquely and have a special relationship with each one as if they are the only one.

I designed all My people for relationship.  It is imperative, especially in these times, to draw near and stay close to My heart and will.  As the time draws near for Me to return for My church, the Bride of Christ, the world will grow darker and more corrupt, but fear not, for I have already overcome the world and defeated the enemy of every man’s soul.  My grace will abound much more, but My people must stay focused on Me and the things of My Word because I keep My promises and My spoken Word will not come back void but with multiplied fruit.

As heaven and the glory of My Kingdom come closer to invading this earth, the more things will be shaken.  All that’s not of Me will fight all the harder and much fiercer just to stay standing, but everything that opposes Me and My Son Jesus, the Word of God, shall come down and will bow their knee to the King of Glory.  The truth of My Word stands for all eternity and everything that is counterfeit will be destroyed.

I Am the God that speaks to His people, so those that have a listening heart and ears to hear what My Holy Spirit is saying shall indeed receive revelation, instruction and direction in these perilous times.  There is no need for My people to fear when they know My Word and trust in My mighty right hand that protects, preserves and provides for My own.

Stay in the secret place of the most High God.  Make Psalm 91 your permanent resting place.  Stay under cover underneath my sheltering arms, for I Am your fortress that never fails.  Stay built up in your most holy faith by praying in the Holy Ghost which is My perfect will for you.  Continue to watch and pray for your redemption is drawing closer and closer.  Make fasting and praying a lifestyle.

Remember that your faith works by love, so do not let anything hinder My love that was shed abroad in your heart from spreading outward to cover this earth.  I have blessed you to be a blessing to all people, even your enemies and those who despitefully use you.  So keep your mouth a pure and holy vessel of honor unto me and let not anything flow out of it that does not bless others.  Do not allow curses or any idle words to come out of your mouth.  A curse or idle word is any word that does not line up with My Word.  I will not bless that and you will be sowing seeds of destruction that will cause you to reap an unwanted harvest, so be ever mindful of the power of your words.  If you desire to be a fount of blessing and oracle of the Lord, then say only the things I say and watch and see how I will bring a plentiful harvest into your life.

Stay strong, My child.  Be of good courage and keep My Word first place in your heart and mouth.   Know that My Kingdom of heaven is backing you up all the way.  When you stand and keep standing for me I will stand for you, because I cannot nor will not violate My own Word.  When you stand for Me you cannot fail or fall because I Am your eternal wings and weight of glory that will uphold you no matter what.  So rejoice in all times and through all things knowing that I Am your great reward and will fail you not.  Let your spirit man stay fixed on Me and I will surely bring you all the way through to total victory.  Eye has not seen nor ear heard all that I have in store for you, so press on, My child, until your race is finished and you shall see Me face to face and be with Me in glory forever!  I love you and thank you for allowing Me to be your King of kings, Lord, Savior and Lover of your soul.  All is well when you belong to me lock, stock and barrel!

Prayer Power

Thank you, Father God, that You have given us the complete victory and all things that pertain to life and godliness.  Help us, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, to stay standing no matter what, and to finish our good fight of faith for Your glory in Jesus name!  Amen.

I woke up at 6: am from a dream.  Before me, out of nowhere, appeared an open shimmering golden envelope.  I knew it was an anointed invitation from the throne of God.  I was compelled to read and receive its content after I heard in my spirit the first line that said. “ To show Our way of love…”

I didn’t even try to “see” the rest of the dream.  I just knew I had to grab my journal and start writing what the prophetic invitation was declaring.

This was the #WFJ (Word From Jesus) I received in my spirit.

#WFJ: THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CROSS

To show our way of love… this is an invitation to walk the path of the glory of God conceived in the mind of God and made possible by the shed blood of Jesus through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.  This is an invitation from the Holy Trinity to walk out an anointed life.  When you follow the scarlet thread you will experience vibrant dynamic life that was designed for you before the foundation.

This scarlet thread is your lifeline because there is life and power in the blood.  This lifeline is a mighty rushing river coursing from the throne of God from heaven to earth.  One must be fully engaged and fully connected in order to receive all full benefits.  It is like a divine IV (intravenous connection).  It supplies all needs and is one’s total supply and lifeline.

Come to the river of life and drink deeply.  Know that without this water you shall surely die.  Make it your only source of LIFE.  Do not fall away from it, trade it for other gods, do not dishonor it or esteem it lightly.

This river of life is ushering in the greatest move of God’s glory the world has ever seen.  Nothing in all creation will stop it and it will be poured out on all flesh!  Will you be one who will see it, believe it, embrace it and flow in its current as it courses full force back to the throne of God in heaven in the “CIRCLE OF LIFE.”

Inquire of Me 24/7 through the power of prayer, My divine path of communication, what My will is, and commit your life as Jesus did to follow it.  This is THE DIVINE INVITATION TO PICK UP YOUR CROSS AND FOLLOW JESUS.  He is the way, the truth and the life.  He laid it all down so you could be raised from death, man’s way, to life in Christ, God’s divine way.

Most people’s vision stops with Jesus crucified and hanging on the cross.  HE CAME OFF THAT CROSS GLORIFIED SO YOU COULD LIVE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CROSS, THE SIDE OF GLORY AND FULL VICTORY!  This is where your focus and footsteps must be if you want any and all parts of Me.

I came off that cross, therefore, you came off that cross too if you are in Christ, in Me.  NOW WALK LIKE IT, THINK LIKE IT, AND BELIEVE LIKE IT!  This is true.  You are empowered by My Holy Spirit, the same Spirit that Jesus lived by.  Don’t ever consider or believe the enemy’s lies that I am not with you!

THIS IS THE INVITATION YOU ACCEPTED WHEN YOU ACCEPTED JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR AND LORD.  NOW FINISH IT AS HE DID BY LIVING, ABIDING AND DWELLING RICHLY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CROSS!  HE SAID WHILE HANGING ON THAT CROSS, “IT IS FINISHED!!!”  NOW IT IS FOR YOU TO LIVE THE REST OF YOUR LIFE IN THE TRUTH, REALITY AND FULL EXPRESSION OF MY GLORY.  FOLLOW ME.  BE FILLED AND REMAIN BEING FILLED WITH MY GLORY AND YOU SHALL SURELY ABIDE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CROSS.  GLORIFY ME THIS WAY AND YOU WILL LIVE A LIFE FULL OF MY GLORY AND POWER.

Now go in peace.  Mighty exploits and visitations await you.  REMEMBER ALWAYS – MY DUNAMIS LIFE IS FOUND ONLY IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS.  REJOICE ALWAYS AND LIVE IN ME, THE GLORIFIED ONE AND THE GLORY OF ALL NATIONS.

We had an awesome morning service and then a powerful Miracle Service at 6 pm.  In the morning after our anointed praise and worship ushered in the presence of God, Lenny Whettle came forward with a word to the church.  He spoke of what the Lord had been showing him even before the fast started when we had our all night prayer service.  God is taking us forward step by step under Pastor Sam Luke’s leadership.  He emphasized that we must stay humble, obedient, and open to correction as we move forward in the great things of God ahead.

Pastor Sam also mentioned he had received a prophetic word  that morning that he would share on Wednesday night during bible study.  It was the word I received and got to him before the morning service.  He later told me in an email, “You will be amazed at how similar the word that God gave you for the church is to what the Lord prompted me to teach for the next 3 weeks.”

It  was amazing and thrilling indeed for me to hear, especially the day after the fast ended.  I experienced a backlash from the enemy as he taunted and bombarded me with thoughts that all my prayers were to no avail and that my fast didn’t accomplish anything.

Pastor’s remark was a bright spot in my day.  His welcome confirmation let me know I had been flowing in the spirit and that God is sovereign.  It’s comforting and reassuring to know God’s plans will be accomplished one way or another regardless of the enemy’s ploys.  How great our God truly is!

Prayer Power

Lord God Almighty,  Thank you for Your faithfulness and for all the mighty things You did through Your people as we committed ourselves to You and were obedient to fast and pray.  Thank You for all the testimonies that will come forth through out this New Year.  We give you all the praise and glory in Jesus matchless name!  Amen.

Revelations 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;

My Pastor has been teaching on the power of prevailing prayer in preparation for an all night prayer service on New Year’s Eve. This will position us to usher in 2011 with the right spirit for what is to come.  Then from January 10-30, we will be doing a 21 day corporate fast.  We will become sensitive to God’s activity in this world as well as appropriate the victory Jesus has already accomplished in any and every area of our lives.

We are fasting for all kinds of specific goals such as: salvation of lost loved ones and other’s souls, physical healing, the restoration of a marriage or family, financial breakthrough, spiritual renewal, guidance, grace to handle a difficult situation and so on.

We are expecting mighty miracles and spiritual breakthroughs that may not otherwise come out except by prayer and fasting!  Consider a time of prayer and fasting yourself to set the tone and pattern for the rest of your New Year.

Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.  (Mathew 5:6).

#WFJ: UNITY WITH THE FATHER BY PRAYER AND FASTING

My Child, Get ready for an extended time of prayer and fasting.  I have much to say to you.  It is always my desire to commune with you and share with you what is on my heart.  I always honor those who honor Me.

It is true that those who draw near to Me will cause Me to draw near to them.  I am right here for you at all times no matter what the hour.  I am as close as your next breath, your next thought, your next action.

Just as the Son and I are one I want that to be true of you and Me.  I love you as much as I love Jesus and I am right here for you as I was and am for Him.  During this time of prayer and fasting I want you to focus on unity with Me, just as Jesus and I are one.  You will become more sensitive to the things I am speaking to your heart and showing you to do.  In fact I was right there when you had that thought that you wanted to operate more like Jesus and I, and say only what you hear Me saying and only doing what you see Me doing.

It was I who communicated that desire to you because it is My desire for us to walk in intimate fellowship and unity.  It is entirely possible and it begins with your hearts desire and intention, for I look on the heart.  Out of the heart flow the issues of life.  I want you to tap the root of My endless love for you and to flow with its powerful current so you can be fully alive to Me and all that I have provided for you that pertains to life and godliness.  I will show it to you as you tap into My frequency.

I do not ask My children to do anything I haven’t given them the power to do.  That is why I sent My Word as the prime example and role model to follow.  He (Jesus) is more than enough and My grace covers it all.  My Holy Spirit is your enabling power.

In your 21 day season of prayer and fasting see it as a Holy Ghost Boot Camp that is training you for supernatural survival, which it is.  My body, the body of Christ, has been lacking power for too long and it is time for the manifestation of the sons and daughters of the Most High God to demonstrate My power in this earth.  This can only happen when My children are rooted and grounded in Me (who is love) and the true vine.

You must be one with Me and discern My will for you and the way I want to lead you at all times.  As sap runs through a vine to keep it alive so it is with Me.  The life is in the blood and the blood of Jesus is your lifeline.  My blood covenant is all-powerful, all consuming, all protective and all provisional.  It is everything you need not just to survive but thrive as more than a conqueror in Christ.

As I said, the life is in the blood.  It is the essential ingredient that keeps one alive, however, it is the blood of Jesus that puts one over and into the realm of victory with life in Christ Jesus.  This is the demonstration of power the world is hungry and groaning to see.

In your time of prayer and fasting draw close to your very source of life itself in My full power and glory.  Draw your strength from Me.  Practice the mind of Christ and the faith of Christ for it is in you waiting to be tapped.

I invite you to come to the Garden of Gethsemane as My dear Son did.  Come with the heart of Jesus.  Come with the mind of Christ that was to do the will of the Father.  Let it be true of you as it was with Him when his driving motive was,  “Nevertheless, not my will but your will be done!”

This is that place of radical obedience, love, true worship and submission that I want you to come to and abide in so you will bear the kind of fruit I have designed and destined you to bear since before the foundation of the world.  When you walk and talk and obey and believe like Jesus is when you will bear much good fruit like Jesus.

You hold the very same power in your heart as Jesus did when you were born from above and My love was shed abroad in your heart.  I gave you My Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth.  I am truth.  I am the way and the life.  Those who worship Me must worship Me in spirit and in truth.  You have everything you need within you, just like Jesus did, in order to walk in victory.

You have My faith, the faith of God.  Now use it as Jesus used it and as I have commanded you to use so I can work on your behalf and show Myself faithful.  The world is waiting and watching to see a demonstration of true power like none other.  Let Me out of the box.  Take off the limits and put Me on, for I Am the Almighty Unlimited One.  Come into full agreement with Me and let Me be the great I Am the world is dying to see, know and experience for themselves.

Now come away with Me, My beloved, just as Jesus did, and you will bear much good fruit.  Come and be blessed that I may pour Myself out as a drink offering through you, that others may know My blessing too.  I offer full shalom as the one and only true Prince of Peace.

You are My living stones and as such are part and parcel of a true living and eternal peace treaty of the King of Kings signed in the blood of Jesus.  Partake of your rich inheritance.  Don’t be a pauper and live beneath your full privileges as a child of the Most High King.  Do it My way and others will be drawn into the eternal Kingdom of God.  Rejoice, for this is My plan and heart’s desire.  In your obedience you will find your true fulfillment also!

Prayer Power

Abba Father, I commit to coming away with you in this most intimate and miraculous set aside time of prayer and fasting.  My will is to know and do Your will.  Show me, teach me and tell me things I don’t know or clearly understand, have forgotten or need to reinstate.  Search my heart and show me those things where I am out of unity with You so I can realign myself and pray only those prayers that You answer “YES” to, in Jesus name I pray.

#WFJ: THOUGHTS AND WORDS FOR THE VICTORIOUS LIFE!

My Word in your heart and in your mouth is more than enough to accomplish what I have called you to do. My Word is mighty and powerful unto salvation.  And when you call unto me I will back up My Word wherever you go and whatever you do because I am not a contradiction.

I Am a God of integrity.  You can count on Me because I say what I mean and mean what I say so, YOU COUNT ON ME AND CALL ON ME AND WALK AND TALK WITH ME LIKE ADAM DID IN THE COOL OF THE DAY IN MY GARDEN OF BLESSING WHEN HE WAS NOT YET CORRUPTED BY GOING OUTSIDE THE BOUNDARY OF MY INCORRUPTIBLE WORD!

It is spirit and it is truth and it will stand for all eternity.  I have given you my language that created all there is and it will create for you when you also walk in the integrity of Me and My Word, for they are one and the same.  You must take My Word in your mouth and speak it with the dunamis power and authority inherent in it to co-create with Me and like Me.

It was more than good enough to carry Jesus all the way from virgin Mary’s womb, to the cross of Calvary, and triumphantly positioned and seated at My right hand in heaven.  Those who receive My Son as Savior are also positioned in Christ at My right hand.  My Word believed and spoken in faith was powerful enough for Jesus to walk a sinless life.  What do you suppose it will do for you if you follow His example and become so solidly and resolutely fixed on and in agreement with that same Word?

I have given you the power of life and death in your very tongue.  Are you going to believe Me or not? Are you going to take it and put Satan and his whole army of rebellious misfits where they belong?  Look at your feet right now.  They belong under your feet through the authority I have given you with My all encompassing, all consuming, all powerful and creative Word.  You trample and stomp the enemy’s headship over you.

Why do you think David cut off Goliath’s head? It was to remove his headship, authority and tyranny ruling over My people and keeping them in fear and on the run.  Let my Word be your guiding compass in all you do.  Let it encompass all of your life so you can manifest My God-given fruit of victory.

You must see and receive this revelation I am giving to you. You must see that My Word coming out of your mouth in faith is your ultimate weapon because My Word does not return void.  MY WORD IS THE MISSION.  IT ALL STARTED WHEN I SPOKE IT OUT OF MY MOUTH AND WRAPPED IT IN FLESH AND SENT IT TO THE WORLD TO SAVE ALL OF MANKIND.

You must “see” with your spiritual eyes that My language of faith and your thoughts must be inextricably joined as one. IF YOU WANT TO LIVE A VICTORIOUS LIFE YOU MUST GET YOUR THOUGHT LIFE IN ALIGNMENT WITH MY WORD!  THAT IS YOUR ULTIMATE WEAPON! Your thoughts precede your words so straighten up your thought life so you can get your language right… that is right with Me and in unity with Me.

It matters not what nation, tongue or tribe you are from.  I created them all to speak My language of faith, not of Babel or confusion.

Think like Me then speak like Me. In order to do that you must know what I think and what I say.  It is all in the bible, your instruction book for life.  Do what I told Joshua to do.  Meditate on My Word day and night and do not let it depart from your mouth and then YOU shall have good success.  Do not depart from it one iota!

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak. (2 Cor 4:13).You have thousands of thoughts a day.  Not all of them are from Me.  When you know Me, study, keep and obey My Word, they will come up out of you – a river of life for your ultimate good!  I gave you My Holy Spirit to teach you and lead you into all truth.  My Spirit will help you discern between the truth and a lie.  I will help you identify which thoughts are not of Me.

Take every thought captive unto the obedience of My Word.  Keep a permanent guard as a receptionist at the gate of your mind.  A thought not of me will coming knocking on the door of your mind but ask who goes there. If it is not of Me refuse it entrance into your heart.  Do not agree with it or let it in or it will set up camp.  All it needs is a toehold and it will soon become a stronghold, which is a way of thinking.

DO NOT “TAKE” THE THOUGHT BY SAYING IT.  WHEN YOU SPEAK IT YOU HAVE JUST AGREED WITH IT AND GIVEN IT LEGAL AUTHORITY TO RULE AND REIGN IN YOUR LIFE.  BELIEVE ME – IT WILL TAKE OVER AND RUN YOUR LIFE BECAUSE YOUR WORDS PRECEDE YOUR STEPS AND THE DIRECTION OF YOUR LIFE.  IT’S YOUR CHOICE.  THAT IS WHY I SAY IN MY WORD THAT THE POWER OF LIFE AND DEATH ARE IN YOUR TONGUE, BUT YOU MUST GET THAT IT’S YOUR THOUGHT LIFE THAT PRECEDES YOUR WORDS.

Do you realize you are committing adultery with your thoughts when they do not line up with Mine? That is why I say you have already committed adultery (in your thoughts) when you have lusted after one in your own heart.  I am a jealous God and I am calling you to My standard of purity and holiness through the power of My Word.  Inherent in My Word spoken with a heart full of faith is the power for its manifestation because I watch after My Word to perform it.

Take some time to meditate on this truth.  REPENT from the gross misuse of your thought life and your language when it is not in agreement with Me. I am faithful and just to forgive you from all your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness.  (I John 1:9).  Allow My perfect love to make Myself so real in your life.  Allow my love to rule and reign in your heart and I will straighten out your thought life and words.

Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.  I want you to think My thoughts and speak My language so you will be more than the conquerors I said you would be in Christ.

Take My yoke upon you and learn of me.  It is easy under My yoke because I am carrying all the weight.  Let me be your burden bearer.  The battle is mine and the battlefield is in your mind so yoke up with me and choose to let My thoughts and My Word be your supernatural mode of operation always in all My ways and you will experience the victory you long for.

Honor Me by honoring and placing the highest value on My thoughts and words over you. Taste and see that I Am good and want nothing but good for you.  Come and experience the high life in unity with My all consuming all powerful Word.  His name is Jesus and He is My living Word.  He is the only way, truth and the life I provided for you to live in victory. Let Jesus rule and reign in your heart and you will experience Kingdom living.  Shalom, for He is with you and for you!

GRACE NOTES

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things. (Phil 4:8).

Keep a continual lifetime vigil on your thought life.  When ANY of your thoughts don’t line up with God’s thoughts and Word then immediately make a u-turn.  If you are thinking critical judgmental thoughts about someone else or yourself, are stuck in doubt, paralysis or fear, then turn around.

If you are thinking of gossiping or telling tales on people then stop.  If you feel unloving, un-forgiving, resentful, offended, angry, bitter, vengeful, or out of control and powerless, then check your thought life.  If you are feeling slighted, devalued or ungrateful, what are you thinking about?

If you are not experiencing inner peace then something is amiss.  Do you “see” yourself and others as God sees you and are you thinking about yourself and others the way God does?  If you said no, then run the other way because you are headed toward destruction.  Get God’s vision of you and others so you can think right and talk right.

The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  (John 10:10).

There are only two directions in life.  You are either walking toward God and in agreement with Him or you are walking away from Him and out of agreement with Him.  You are either for God or against Him.  There is no demilitarized zone with God so choose His way!  Choose life!  Decide to think only God’s thoughts and then you will speak only His words.  This is the only way to the victorious life.

PRAYER POWER

Father God, You are the author of my life.  I surrender my thought life to you.  Teach me your thoughts and Word so I can think right and speak right in Jesus name.  I desire to be a living witness of the victorious life Jesus died for me and shed His blood for me that others would know the way to You and Your eternal Kingdom.  Amen.

I know a man who received those very words from his doctor and they hung over the hospital room like a death sentence! He had been diagnosed with one of the deadliest and fastest growing cancers known as Burkitt’s Lymphoma. I was told my friend, Brian Wills, and his family all stood in total shock and silence after the doctor left the room.

Prayer Power

Most gracious heavenly Father, Thank you for sending Your dear Son, Jesus the Christ (the Anointed One and His anointing) to come and die on a cross that whosoever believes in Him may freely have eternal life.  Thank You that Jesus is The Healer and it is His will that we be made whole and set free.  I come boldly before Your throne of grace and ask You to supernaturally touch and minister to everyone who comes in contact with Brian’s God story, 10 Hours to Live, in Jesus name.  We thank You and give You all praise, glory and honor.  Amen.

LISTEN TO THE SOUND, LISTEN TO THE SOUND OF MY LOVE COMING DOWN.  LISTEN TO THE BEAT, LISTEN TO THE BEAT OF MY HEARTBEAT FOR YOU.

It is reverberating throughout this universe for you. For that sound is a part of everything I created for I Am everywhere at once, for I Am.

When I spoke everything into existence it was composed from My love for I Am love, so it carries My love throughout creation. To everything there is a vibration and that vibration is made up of invisible particles of My supernatural DNA.  This is the glue of My love that holds all things together.  This is how faith works… by love.  This is the universe I created.

Everything I spoke into being carried the sound of My love and heartbeat for My creation. The memory of this love exists in all matter. That is why I tell you to walk in love and speak as I speak so My love will keep reproducing after its own kind.  To speak My Word is to produce after My own kind of love.

The world is starving for this love for this is the only kind of love that quickens the spirit and causes it to grow and thrive and be in harmony with Me which will bring harmony, peace and order to My family.

There are many sounds in my universe but you must discern where they are coming from. A sound from the voice of the enemy came into My garden through the serpent.  It was the sound of a lie that twisted the truth that came from My lips.  This sound deceived the man and woman and I had to remove them from My garden to keep it pure.

Now that sound of darkness and evil has come into this world to compete with My sound of light, goodness and love, that brings the re-establishment of My Kingdom here on earth.  There is a war for the sound that humanity will march to.  Whose is the beat of the drummer you are marching to? You must discern between the truth and a lie.

The sound of the evil one brings discord, confusion and strife.  It brings static noise to your spirit and dis-ease to your body. It draws you away from order and connection to My heart of love for you and for each other.  This sound of evil whispers flattery and sweet nothings in your ears and feeds your appetite that puffs you up with pride and a sense of independence that fools you into thinking that you can handle life on your own without My love and direction.  This sound will lead you on a path of temptation to fulfill your own lusts and your eyes will become blinded by such deception.

This deception will bring all kinds of discord in your own mind and body.  From inside out it will work its way out to those around you and it will change the atmosphere that was first bathed in God love.  The ethers have become muddied and murky with dissension.

1. The rarified element formerly believed to fill the upper regions of space;
2. The upper regions of space: HEAVENS
3. A medium that in the undulatory theory of light permeates all space and transmits transverse waves.
4. The medium that transmits radio waves.

My ethers have become stained with the sound of evil. I am calling My people to purify the airwaves by speaking forth My living Word. The sound that exalts Me as the living Jehovah Almighty God will exalt My people and put things back in My divine order.  This is what even the rocks, land, air and sea are crying out for because they are out of divine order.

Do you hear the sound of My love calling you to come up higher above ll the static and warfare of this world?  Come up into that quiet place, the secret place where you will be still and know that I Am God.  (Psalm 46:10).  Come up to that place of worship and of exalting Me so I can raise you to that higher place in Me.

Yes, the battle is raging all around you, but come to Me and I will give you rest.  (Mathew 11:28).   I will comfort you and strengthen you by My Spirit.  I will sing to you the song of redemption and victory in your heart and ears when your memory fades from the weariness of battle. I will quicken your spirit.  Dig into My living Word so it will revitalize every memory cell in your body to remember Who you belong to and where you came from.  You came from the very sound of My voice when I created you in My image and likeness of love.

Return to Me. Return to the sound of My love and lay aside everything else that contradicts My love for you. It will make your path clearer and even when the battle gets tough and the other sounds are competing for your attention, Remember:  I am right here with you, Emmanuel.  I will never leave you or forsake you and I am “seeing” you all the way through, for the victory is Mine.

Keep your ears and heart sharply tuned to the sound of My Word and you “are there,” with Me in the victory of My glorious love, for My love never fails and this is how faith works!

Prayer Power

Thank you, Lord God, that Your love trumps everything.  May we be ever so sensitive to the sound of Your love in Your living Word.  May our eyes be riveted on Jesus so all that we hear is the sound of Holy Spirit leading us into all truth as more than conquerors in Christ Jesus.  Amen.

He has shown you, oh man, what is good;  And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?  (Micah 6:8).

#WFJ: Hear Ye!  Hear Ye!  Hear Ye!

Hear Ye!  Hear Ye!  Hear Ye!  This is one nation under God and I am the God of this nation.  Cry out to Me, My people and I shall hear from heaven and answer you.

You will not lose your way if you keep your eyes on Me, for I am the way, the truth and the life.  This fine country was founded on My principles from My holy Word and it is what made it strong and free.  I came to set the captives free and to give sight to the blind.

True liberty in spirit, soul and body can be found only in Me.  I sent Jesus, My Word, to proclaim liberty to those in all kinds of bondages.  I came to heal all your diseases.  This country of these United States is in a state of dis-ease because it is divided and separated from Me.

A house divided against itself cannot stand.  Come back to Me.  Come back to My holy Word and be healed and made whole once again.  I am calling you from the White House to the church house to every house in this nation and all around the globe.  Come to Me and be restored and unified unto Me!  I am the God, King and Lord of ALL PEOPLE .  For I created all man and your peace and wholeness is found in Me alone, your true source.

Today is a significant day because it is a Day of National Prayer.  I have made every day a day of prayer because I have given you access to My throne of grace on a moment by moment basis.  However, honor me this day as so many of My appointed presidents ordered Me to be honored in the past.

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.  (2 Chronicles 7:14).

To honor Me is to remember that it is in Me that you live and move and have your being, less you forget to honor your Creator and the One who gave you perfect liberty in My dear Son, Jesus the Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing.

There is life only in the blood and Jesus shed His blood on the cross so all men can be free.  Many fine brave men and women have laid down their lives for their friends.  Freedom is not free.  There is an ultimate cost to be paid and Jesus paid it all.  So did those men and women throughout history who gave their lives so others might live.  They were following in the footsteps of the Savior.

I Am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end and everything in between.  I Am omniscient and omnipresent and I am everywhere at once.  I am with you but foolish is the man who decides to depart from Me and My way.  That is the way of death and separation from all that is good and right.

Foolish is the man or woman who departs from Me and takes Me out of the schoolhouse, or church house or any house because I am the foundation and chief cornerstone.  I Am the chief architect of life so why do some take Me out of the equation of any facet of life and order?  It shall not go well for the likes of these for I Am a God of justice and order and I will have My way.  So return to Me, and come under My perfect law of liberty and justice for all.

Fight the good fight of faith and do not give up on Me and My Way because I never give up on you.  Do not remain silent and do not let go of My holy standard of righteousness found only in Jesus.  Stand for what is right, pure and holy.  Stand for Me.   I will never forsake or leave you.

Humble yourself before Me and ask for forgiveness for going your own way.  Come unto Me and release My mighty right hand to move on your behalf.  Honor Me and I will surely honor you.  There is no other way to true peace for I Am the Prince of Peace.  I Am a jealous God and I will have no other Gods before Me.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem for they are My chosen people.  To come against them and their land is to come against the Most High God.  Any kind of assault on them is an attack on Me and I will strike back to bring order and justice in the high court of heaven, the supreme law of all people and domains.

Return to Me with your whole hearts and serve Me in the fullness of your spirit, soul, and body that it may go well with you.  I love you,  My children of the world.  Stay connected to My heart through prayer and I will surely bring you home safely to rule and reign with Me now and forevermore.

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.  (John 14:27)

Prayer Power

Father God, may we, as Your people, come before You this day and every day to humble ourselves before You and ask Your forgiveness for going our own separate way.  Thank You for Your amazing grace that brings us into right relationship with you through Jesus, that it may go well with us all the days of our eternal existence.  Amen.

Praise God for speaking this essential life-defining word on man’s triune nature through you in these crucial and challenging times.  We’re being bombarded by so much information.  We’re going so fast just to keep up and get ahead that we will follow all kinds of thoughts, ideas and opportunities.

I agree with what God is saying through you:  “Are we making decisions to activate good ideas without double checking to know if they be God Ideas?  Are we testing the spirits to know the voices and thoughts we receive are of God?”

This is so key. It’s not more information we need but Holy Spirit discernment, revelation understanding, and wisdom to follow only what God is directing us to do, when to do it, and how to do it. To do this WE MUST SLOW DOWN, SIT IN GOD’S PRESENCE, LISTEN AND OBEY!

I have been crying out for  Holy Spirit to give me such discernment, wisdom, and revelation.  I’m amazed at what He is revealing to me as I keep pressing into Him.   I am beginning to identify like never before how subtle Satan, the counterfeiter, is.  He deceptively gets us off track ever so slightly by sneaking into our lives to cloud our vision, stroke our egos, and mess with our soul (mind, will, and emotions).

With just a thought, the counterfeit ruler of this world loves to subconsciously stir up confusion, doubt, fear, and unbelief so we will question God and ourselves.  We will say, “Is that God or me?”  Satan loves to use these emotions against us so we will become paralyzed from fear or just put off what God is prompting us to do by His Holy Spirit.

It’s hard to hear from God, get clarity and wisdom to act if we are bogged down by all these emotions.  The just shall live by faith in God’s Word alone and not by sight or the other senses.

On the other hand, it can be very misleading when we think we are hearing from God just because we have these great ideas we think are from Him.  We may quickly jump headfirst into action.  That is a problem because God intends for us to be led by our spirit not our mind.  While it may be a good idea, if it is not a God directed idea it will put us on a track that is not His best for us in that given season of our life.  God’s timing is everything and will bear God-sized fruit.

I am as guilty as the next person because I am the cheerleader type who can get excited with the best of them.  I want to jump in and say, “Go team! Go!”  I have to remember to not get ahead of God or lag way behind, but stay right by His side all the way.  That is the most excellent way.  God has been speaking to me about that as in my last post: #WFJ: How To Become a Man or Woman of Excellence .

SO WHO IS TRULY YOUR MASTER?  Not just some of the time but all of the time?

We were never designed by God to allow our soul to be our master but to allow our spirit man who is created, owned, directed and connected to God, to be our only master. This is why the body of Christ is weak and not manifesting the sons of God the earth is groaning to see, wanting to be in control and putting things back in their original God ordained order.

For  (even the whole) creation  (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known  (waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship).  (Romans 8:19 Amplified).

This breach in God’s order is what is separating us from the very manifest presence of God.  This is the power thereof we are lacking.

Moses had the right idea in Exodus 33:15,  “Then he said to Him,  If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.”

It is time for the followers of Jesus to demonstrate that we are the most powerful force on this earth because we are sons, daughters, heirs, and ambassadors of the Most High God.  We will never establish God’s Kingdom in this earth until we think, walk, and talk in agreement and unity with God and in the presence of His manifest power.

Apart from God’s Holy Spirit we can do nothing.  In the process of doing it in our own power and perception or deception, we sure can make a mess of things. We can expend a lot of wasted time, energy, and resources, to say nothing of how far off the right track we traveled.

He is waiting on us to be His fullness in this earth.  He has given us everything we need to do what He has commanded us to do.   We have His Word, His power and authority and the name above every name to take dominion of this earth.  The Kingdom of God is within you.  There is a King inside of you waiting to release His power through you.

The Lord Jesus Christ and His heavenly host are waiting to make good the Word of God that is spoken out of our mouths.

You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.  (Job 22:28).

So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.  ( Isaiah 55:11).

Faith is NOW. Now it is up to the body of Christ to be clearly devoid of deception, operating out of the Mind of Christ and be fearlessly joined to the headship of Jesus so we can move as one to take back dominion power over this earth in the mighty name and blood of Jesus.  May the anthem of our joined hearts decree and declare to all the world: “Thy Kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Amen.”

The Lord responded to me in the fourth Watch with this WFJ:

#WFJ: How To Become a Man or Woman of Excellence

I do not ask My children to do anything I don’t give them the power or ability to do.  All that is required is faith in Me to do it through them.  This is called the power of agreement and as long as you agree with the One who created you we can accomplish great and mighty things in unity

Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask,  it will be done for them by My Father in Heaven.  (Mathew 18:19).

I am a God of faith.  This is what I used to create the universe and all that is in it.  Do not doubt or fear that what I ask or require cannot be done for nothing is impossible or too hard for Me.

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh.  Is there anything too hard for Me?  (Jeremiah 32:27).

It is your doubt and fear that enters in and comes between Me (who is truth) and a lie.  I Am the author of truth and Satan is the counterfeiter of truth.  He has no power or truth of his own to offer, so he twists the truth I speak to throw My people off from becoming who I created them to be and who I said they are.

Satan has no power of his own so he counterfeits it by tempting you to believe something other than the/My truth.  He gets you to come into disagreement with Me and into agreement with him.  That’s where he gets his counterfeit power. He gets you to become double-minded because he knows you will not receive anything from me if you become double-minded.  He gets you to turn against Me and yourself.  You become conflicted with yourself and with Me.

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.  For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.  (James 1:6-8).

Once you come out of agreement with Me and into agreement with Satan you have empowered him to take ground in your life.  Once he gets a toehold it will grow into a stronghold if you don’t take every thought captive and only allow those thoughts that line up with My Word to remain and rule your thinking.  It is true that the battle is in your mind so whoever has control of your mind will rule you.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.  (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).

Once you received Me as your Lord and Savior, I filled you with My Holy Spirit and took up residence in your heart.  You became a new creature in Christ.  Old things passed away.  I made you to be the righteousness of Myself, Almighty God, in Christ Jesus.

I came to abide with you and set up the Kingdom of heaven within you.  It’s there inside of you.  My Kingdom has come inside of you.  My will be done in and through you but it won’t stay on the throne when you get out of agreement with My Kingdom rule and when you trust the lies of the enemy instead of wholly trusting in Me.

This is how you become a man or woman of excellence, by being transformed by the renewing of your mind to act like Me and think like Me. I will make you a person of excellence, for I Am the Spirit of Excellence.  Follow Me.  I Am the way the truth and the life.  You must follow Me if you want the results I have promised in My Word.

I am a God of integrity.  My yes means yes and My no means no.  There is no deceit or division in Me.  I will not lead you astray but into my will and perfect plan for your life if you are faithful to follow Me.  I have given you my very own Holy Spirit to empower you and anoint and lead you into that place of perfection and fulfillment.  If you want to see My results you must stay the course.

When you get off course because you have been deceived by the enemy or decided to do things without Me, be quick to repent for I am a forgiving God.  I will get you back on the right course as soon as you come back into agreement with Me for I do not contradict My own Word.

I do not stop loving you when you disobey Me.  I never leave or forsake you because I Am Faithful.  However, I desire for you to come to Me and get back under My full protection, care and leadership.  I Am the good Shepherd and I take care of My sheep.Remember there is a deceiver and counterfeiter in this world in sheep’s clothing doing everything he can to pull you away from me to follow him.  Again I say, fear not, and believe only in Me. That fear is the very thing that gets you off track and following the adversary. That fear contaminates your faith and gets you going in the wrong direction away from Me.

I want to point out that the origin of that fear that separates you from Me and My power originated in the Garden of Eden when Adam disobeyed Me and ate that fruit I commanded him not to partake of.  The moment he ate of it sin entered into this world by man’s disobedience and separated Me from man.  That separation created and caused fear to arise because Adam knew he was now separated from My manifest presence, power and protection.  He had stepped out from under my covenant because he was not operating within the boundaries of My covenant rights and privileges.

I Am a God of My Word and I will not honor those outside of My jurisdiction for I honor and respect the free will I have given man. I gave it so man can be free to choose who he desires to love and follow and be in covenant with.  I do not manipulate to get My way.  I set the rules and boundaries for whosoever desires to live in and benefit from My Kingdom domain.  It’s really that simple.  You can choose to live in My Kingdom domain or outside of it.

There are only two choices – with Me or against Me! When you do it your own way you have decided to go against me because in your flesh is no good thing and it leads to death.  Those that are born of Me and of My Spirit will follow the things of the Spirit and that will lead to eternal abundant life where you find Me.  For I Am the Prince of Peace and nothing is missing or broken in Me.  You choose.

I am the most excellent way. Just as you were in your mother’s womb you will be with Me.  I will bring you to full term and complete development if you allow Me to direct your steps.  Feed on My perfect Word that sustains you and gives you strength and power to endure the course of life  which is eternal and fully blessed with Me, in Me and through Me.

I am Jehovah Jireh, your Provider.  I am your source, The Source of all life and in Me is everything you need for eternity for My supply is inexhaustible.  Stay with Me and you will see.

A man or woman of excellence is a man or woman of integrity and lacks no good thing because I Am the author and finisher of your faith. I am pure just like the truth.  I will not lead you astray but to completion in My perfect plan for your life.

Will you stay the course with Me? Yes you will fall and stumble but that will not take you out of the course of life if you remain faithful to Me and the truth of My Word and all of My promises to you.

As you are faithful to follow Me I will open your eyes and give you more and more understanding between the truth and the lie from the pit of hell that says I Am not who I say I Am and you are not who I say you are! Don’t believe the lies for they will surely separate you from Me.  Stay with Me all the way and I will surely take you from ever increasing levels of glory to glory and faith to faith.

Nothing can compare to Me and My ways and no one, especially not the devil, can compare to Me or is even My equal.  You have given him your power and authority I gave to you and he will tromp all over you because you have turned against Me and yourself when you separated from Me, by your own free will.

The most powerful decision you can ever make in any situation is, “Not my will, Lord, but your will be done in my life. Trust Me and live the incomparable life I sent Jesus (to die for) to give you.  Freely I have given you all things now freely choose to remain faithful to Me and My Kingdom rule and you will experience the complete desire of your heart which is found only in Me. And so it shall be for eternity.  Selah and Amen.

Prayer Power

I place my trust in you, Lord God, for eternity.  When I am out of step and agreement with You, immediately open the eyes of my understanding so I may repent and jump back into your perfect covering and plan for my life.  I desire to fully experience my heart’s desire in You, in the perfection of Your dear Son.  Amen.

My last two blog posts have been about The ROC and Pastor G.  This is a very significant and timely message for the worldwide body of Christ.  It is a huge understatement to say that we are living in perilous end times.

JESUS IS COMING BACK SOONER THAN WE THINK.  WE MUST BE ABOUT OUR FATHER’S BUSINESS BECAUSE THE DEVIL AND ALL THE FORCES OF DARKNESS ARE DOING EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER TO COME AGAINST GOD’S PEOPLE ANY WAY THEY CAN BEFORE JESUS COMES BACK.

#WFJ: DO THE HARD THING AND FOLLOW ME IN VICTORY

THIS IS A CLARION CALL FROM THE HEART OF THE FATHER.  RISE UP, OH MY PEOPLE, AND OPERATE IN THE POWER AND AUTHORITY I HAVE GIVEN YOU.

THE ENEMY IS A DEFEATED FOE AND I HAVE GOT YOU COVERED.   SO FEAR NOT, AND CHARGE AHEAD FULL POWER, IN THE ANOINTING OF MY HOLY SPIRIT, AND DO WHAT I HAVE COMMANDED YOU TO DO.  BE MY PEOPLE AND LET ME BE YOUR GOD, THE FAITHFUL UNDEFEATED ONE.

TAKE YOUR PROMISED LAND I HAVE ALREADY GIVEN YOU.  EVERYWHERE YOUR FOOT TOUCHES BELONGS TO YOU. TAKE IT WITH AUTHORITY.  TAKE THE GIANTS BY THE POWER OF MY WORD COMING OUT OF YOUR MOUTH.  BE ONE WITH MY WORD AND YOU WILL DO THE HARD THING BECAUSE I AM WITH YOU EVERY STEP YOU TAKE. I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU.

ADVANCE IN MY POWER AND MIGHT IN THE SPIRIT AND POSSESS MY PROMISES TO YOU.  I AM GOOD ON MY PROMISES.  NOW I AM COMMANDING YOU TO BE FAITHFUL AND OBEDIENT TO YOUR KING AND YOU SHALL SEE MY GOODNESS AND GLORY MANIFESTED.  YOUR FAITH WILL BECOME SIGHT WHEN YOU DO AS I SAY.

TO DO THE HARD THING IS EASY WHEN YOU ALLOW ME TO DO IT THROUGH YOU.  KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS AND FOLLOW HARD AFTER HIM AND YOU WILL WALK IN VICTORY!  I HAVE GIVEN MY WORD.   NOW GIVE ME YOUR ALLEGIANCE AND LET’S GET THIS JOB DONE SO I CAN COME BACK AND TAKE YOU ALL HOME WITH ME TO LIVE IN GLORY FOR ETERNITY IN MY PERFECT PLAN.  SELAH.

2 Kings 2:9-10

9And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

10And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

DOING THE HARD THING

The ROC is not a weekend warrior type of ministry. It is more like the Marines – first in and last out. We are really not looking for applications; we’re looking for commitment. We are looking for those who are willing to fight when called upon, and are actually looking forward to the fight.

Anyone who is looking for part-time Christianity will not be a fit at The ROC. Anyone who wants to be a weekend warrior for God will find that The ROC is not the place for them. Anyone who is looking to put in an hour and a half once a week – no more and no less – then The ROC is not going to be for them. If anyone is looking to give the least amount of their time, money, or energy to ministry, The ROC is not where they should be. The ROC realizes there is a spiritual war to fight and we realize there are souls at stake.

When Elisha asked for a double portion of Elijah’s spirit to be on him, Elijah responded by saying Elisha had asked a hard thing. The ROC is a church that is committed to doing the hard thing. The only way our city will ever be changed or our country brought back to God is if God’s people are willing to start doing the hard thing. God needs churches that will stop taking the easy road and start doing the hard thing. Most people do not pray and ask God for the hard thing. It is too easy to always ask God for His blessing and to make everything easier.

Think about your own walk with the Lord. Are you doing hard things for God? Going to church once or twice a week is not the hard thing. The Bible says that we will do greater works than Jesus did. That will require us doing the hard thing. God is looking for a few good men and women who will stand up and say, “Here am I. I am ready to do the hard thing.”

As I told The ROC Family recently, if and when anyone decides to call The ROC home and make it their place of fellowship and worship, then you need to know you are signing up to do the hard thing for God. The ROC is not about taking the easy road. We are about making a difference. We are about reaching those everyone else has given up on. We are about going into the deepest pit, knocking down the gates of Hell, and going into the enemy’s camp to take back what he has stolen from us. It is about doing the hard thing for the Lord.

One of the hard things we do every day is soulwinning. Sharing about Jesus to total strangers is doing the hard thing.

Bus Ministry is doing the hard thing. There is nothing easy about getting up early every Saturday to go into the inner-city and ride on a bus filled with kids. There are people who drive our buses from early in the morning to late at night when they are taking families home after church or Bible study.

Tithing is the hard thing. It is not easy looking at your pile of bills, but still being obedient to God’s Word and giving that ten percent every paycheck.

Going to RSUM is the hard thing. We didn’t start the ROC School of Urban Ministry to raise up a bunch of self-serving, lazy Christians. We started that school to train men and women to do the hard thing for God.

Picking up food, keeping our food pantry stocked, giving food away, sharing Christ with those who come, these are hard things. It is just plain hard work making it possible for our Food Ministry to give away over 4,500 bags of groceries every month.

There is nothing easy about having over 140 different ministries, including running discipleship homes for men and women who are serious about getting free from addictions. It is a hard thing.

There is definitely nothing easy about running two thrift stores. It takes hard work to pick up, sort, process, stock and run the stores. The people who are committed to doing it know it is a hard thing.

It is a hard thing to run after-school programs and summer programs throughout the city, and it would be totally impossible if it were not for committed, dedicated volunteers who are willing to do the hard thing.

It is a hard thing running a free health clinic and trying to raise the money it takes to be able to provide free health care for the ever-growing number of uninsured people.

There was absolutely nothing easy about building the Big House, but praise the Lord, we are not here to do the easy thing – we’re here to do the hard thing!

When you go to God in prayer, don’t be afraid to ask Him for the hard things. The greatest blessings are coming to those who sign up for the hard things. Since all things are possible, you can ask God for the hard things, knowing that nothing is too hard for God. Pray for some God-sized miracles in your life. You are never going to find out what God is capable of until you start asking Him for the hard thing.

The first ten words in the Bible should be enough to give us the faith to know we can ask God for the hard thing. “In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth.” Do you need any more proof that the one you are praying to can do the hard thing? He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we could ask or think. He is able to do the hard thing in your life, if you are willing to ask Him for it and trust Him in it.

Let’s be a people that prays for the hard thing, does the hard thing, and lives the hard thing. Becoming a Christian is the easy part. Living like a Christian is the hard part. The hard thing that Elisha asked for was to have a spirit like Elijah. That meant he wanted to live a life like Elijah lived. Elijah lived a holy and righteous life that was pleasing to God. That is a hard thing to do, but it is what God desires for all of us.

God wants us to have strong convictions about sin. Christians are either hot or cold – God does not want us to be lukewarm. Being a hot Christian is the hard thing. You can’t put up a front but for so long, before your true colors will come through. Doing the hard thing means you wouldn’t do anything behind closed doors that you would be ashamed for others to know about.

There is a lot at stake, Church. There is a world that is dying and going to Hell. There is an enemy that has come to steal, kill, and destroy. There are Christians that need a role model. There are kids that need an adult to show them what it means to be a Godly parent. The ROC has a motto this year and for always that we are to focus on OTHERS and not on ourselves – and that is a hard thing.

God is expecting us to be doers and not just hearers of His Word by doing the hard thing. The only way we will ever reach our full potential and live a life that is pleasing to God is to do the hard thing. Christians who are still struggling with self-destructive sins of smoking, drinking, and drugs are destroying their lives by doing the easy thing. The hard thing is to quit. Short and simple: just don’t do it anymore. If you think it is a thing that is too hard to do, then you don’t really know God. God has given you the power to live a victorious, overcoming life, but you have to cooperate with Him. It is as simple as learning how to do the hard thing and start saying “NO!” The more you say it, the less hard it will be until you have defeated the enemy in that area of your life. But do not be deceived. Always be aware that as long as you are in the flesh, you will have to be on your guard to do the hard thing.

The same thing is true for sex outside of marriage. Setting boundaries and saying no to sin is not easy – it is the hard thing, but it is also the RIGHT thing. Wide is the road to destruction, but narrow is the path that God expects us to walk. It is the hard thing.

At this time in the journey of The ROC, as we moved into the Big House, and our ministries are getting ready to expand, we are going to need to do the hard thing even more than before. We have committed to taking our ministry to another level by doing the hard thing. Doing the hard thing will actually make your life better, your marriage sweeter, give your children a better future, and make your ministry more fruitful and effective. In spite of all those benefits, we should be doing the hard thing anyway, because of what Jesus did for us.

The main reason we need to keep doing the hard thing is simply because Jesus did the hard thing for us by dying on a cross. He did the hardest thing that has ever been done. He left Heaven to come to Earth as a man for the sole purpose of redeeming mankind back to His Father. The Creator of Heaven and Earth did the hard thing for you and me.

We owe it to Jesus to do the hard thing to reach this city and this world with the good news about what Jesus did on our behalf. We owe it to Jesus to live a Godly life fulfilling the will and purpose of God for our lives. We owe it to God to live holy lives that reflect the glory of God.

Spend some time with the Lord … consider the choices you have been making … take inventory of the kind of life you are choosing to live, and commit to doing the hard thing rather than taking the easy way out. It will be worth it!
