The Calling

Hush, Sweet Darling, do you hear Me,
The faint whisper of your heart’s desire
Calling from deep within,
Return to Me.
I Am your God-given reason for being,
A hidden destiny born of your dreams
Divinely designed for complete manifestation.
I Am your invitation to untapped potential,
Waiting to be birthed in your spirit and gifted to the world
With your unique DNA stamped upon it.
I Am the substance that comes only from Jehovah God.
Do you know exactly who I Am?
Am I oozing abundant life and radical liberty from your pores?
Are you emblazoned by My undying passion to love you unconditionally?
Is the world impoverished from the lack of My presence and power in you?
Does My unsurpassing peace and unspeakable joy flow like a river through you?
Apart from Me is your existence empty, meaningless, and without direction?
Am I, Who is perfect Love Himself, personified in your everyday way of being?
If you know Me not I bid you,
Come to the secret place where deep calls unto deep.
Receive My plan and purpose created just for you.
Draw close to the heart of God.
Wrapped in His brilliant revelation I wait…
Jesus the Christ, The Anointed One and His Anointing,
King of Kings and LORD of Lords,
Savior and Redeemer of the World.
I Am The Calling.
Have you accepted Me, your divine inheritance?
Take Me and run with Me and you shall be fulfilled.
I have blessed you to bless all people,
To establish the Kingdom of God in My name
On earth as it is in heaven,
That Our heavenly Father may be glorified.
I Am and shall be so, forevermore.  Selah.

On January 4, 2006, Holy Spirit inspired me to write this poem, “The Calling.” In that season of my life the perspective I had regarding the poem’s message was slightly different than it is today.  I revised the poem December 7, 2011.  Perhaps a more accurate way of saying it is that the One who inspired me to write it has been doing some re-visioning and transformational work in and through me.  I didn’t write it – He wrote me! Consequently, some fine-tuning has taken place in me as well as in the crafting of my words.

Five years have passed and the good Lord has truly been teaching and stretching me and has been progressively opening the eyes of my understanding more and more.  I am so grateful for His revelations.  Seeing life through God’s eternal and infinitely expansive vision is very humbling and has a way of showing us a much greater purpose for our lives than we could ever have dreamed or imagined on our own.

When I originally wrote the poem, I had the following definition in mind.  Generally speaking, I always considered “a calling” to be something a person had an inner urge or strong impulse to do like: an occupation, profession, trade, career, lifework, specialty, or mission.  I thought it was the principal activity or work one did in life with or without payment and that it was divinely inspired.

Meriam Webster defines “calling” as: a strong inner impulse toward a particular course of action especially when accompanied by conviction of divine influence.

God has an eternal hold on my heart.  As I choose to stay surrendered to Jesus, I find He is re-visioning and re-writing the understanding of my internal script and life’s story.  I now understand that His poem – or “poiema” – written through me, was not only about the WHAT, as I originally thought, but even more so about the WHO, as you can “see”  for yourself! The transliterated word: “poiema” means: that which has been made a work; of the works of God as Creator.

The Creator is greater than His creation.  He knows WHAT He had in mind when He uniquely designed each one of us for HIMSELF, according to His good will and pleasure.  If we can keep our heart, intentions, and focus squarely on Him, and stay submitted to the Potter’s hands, then He will surely complete the authentic masterpiece each one of us alone is in His all-powerful, supernaturally creative hands.  You can be sure that we will absolutely love the results and they will be far greater than anything we could ever have hoped for, dreamed, or imagined, because His ways are higher than ours!

It is my heartfelt prayer that this will be your most blessed and exquisite Christmas ever as your eyes and heart are truly opened, like never before, to the absolute fullness and preeminence of Jesus and His outrageous all-consuming eternal love for YOU and your life!

Years ago God gave me a vision for my life.  This blog is a result of that vision!  I have been called to be: A pen in God’s hand giving “LOVE” a voice.

Little did I know that when I plunged into the online world of social media that it would create a global platform for my blog, “GOD WHISPERS.” Through the wonderful world of blogging I have made so many wonderful Kingdom connections.  This is what God is really all about – BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS AND BUILDING HIS FAMILY.

I want to share a poem I was inspired to write about the power of our words, especially God-given words.  After all it was through God’s own Word that He created and framed the world.

Our words are amazing containers that carry the power of life and death, blessings and curses.  What will you choose to carry and release through the power of your own words?

GODLY WORDS

God’s words are sacred.
God’s words are seed.
God’s words are spirit,
And of such we have need.

God’s words are containers,
They carry his treasure,
They brought us sweet Jesus,
The Truth, his divine measure.

He was all wrapped in flesh
And walked in this earth,
On a mission from heaven
To save souls through a new birth.

Sacred breath was bestowed on us
Through his Word from above,
So when we exhale it,
We carry his love.

I will guard my own heart
And harness my tongue,
To speak nothing but blessings
On the winds of my lungs.

I’ve been given a mission
To give LOVE a voice,
In words, art, and action,
It’s expression my choice.

This calling to love, Lord,
With reverence I receive,
By your grace may I live it,
Because I believe.

My heart jumped for joy
In this holy collision,
You answered my prayer, Lord,
Be thou my vision.

By your sweet Spirit
May I truly be led,
With godly perfection,
Your people will be fed.

A sumptuous banquet
Will God’s Word provide,
Rise up, oh church,
In unity preside.

Tell my beloved body
I need all its parts
To accomplish my mission
To save souls through one heart.

Cast off your cares,
Step out of your chains,
Do the will of your Father,
And be not constrained.

Run life’s race freely,
By my Word be empowered,
Your destiny is within you,
By your faith will it flower.

One cannot conceive
All the beauty I wrought
To secure your grand future,
By my blood it was bought.

Do all things on earth
With eternity in sight,
Your reward will be great,
And known by all in heaven’s light.

Now go to the nations,
Spread my Word, do your part,
So whoever receives Me,
Will come home to my heart.

Prayer Power

Father God, thank You for these godly words to bless Your people all over the world.  I know Your words are life and spirit to all flesh.  Prepare the hearts of those who will be led to this blog to receive your life giving words.  Thank You that they will not return to You void, but will bear much fruit for your Glory in Jesus name.  Amen.

The tongue is a mighty weapon. It can be used for good or evil, so the words you speak are very significant.  The main question you have to ask yourself is:  Which spirit is governing the use of my  tongue?  Is it the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus or the spirit of sin and death?

The enemy of your soul is just waiting for you to give him  legal access into your life through the use of your words. When you open the door and speak ungodly words, you allow him to wreak havoc in your life. He loves to cause offense, strife and divison in families because once a house is divided it will fall. 

The Lord brought this poem to my mind today for a purpose. He inspired me to write it years ago when I was meditating on the power of  deadly words. I have been thinking about how  families all over the globe are severely divided and broken down. Stored up toxic emotions have been released like  missiles through deadly words. The enemy uses them to bring great damage and destruction.

 The Good News is that God has provided something even more powerful to overcome such deadly words. It is the Word of God which brings resurrection life in Christ Jesus! God is still in the business of reconciliation.  He wants to restore families and individuals because He is a family God. 

BLACK BREATH

Stop and think, Dear Christian, about the power of your tongue,
Do your words come rushing out on the winds of darkened lungs.
Is your mouth an orifice of poison, shaped by a hardened heart,
Nothing but filth and slander will its wicked words impart.

Does black breath come billowing out and lay a blanket of sin,
Its victims will surely be smothered beneath the clanging din.
Your tongue has such awesome power to deliver life and liberty,
Or to choose destruction and death, it’s your choice, my friend, do you see.

Sticks and stones do break bones and by names will a soul you alter,
But take heed, judgement I plea will boomerang and you will falter.
What’s in the well will come up, in buckets it satisfies,
The real condition of ones own heart, and the truth it will not belie.

Sometimes you stretch the truth and hide behind white lies,
Surely you think it won’t matter but it’s God you do defy.
Are your words a healing balm that the scales of mercy tip,
Or is your tongue a tool that scars like a razor sharpened whip.

Do you fling your arrows of resentment, wrath, and pain,
Truly no good will come of it and satisfaction you will not gain.
When you lay down a gauntlet of barbed words that jab and snare,
You then become the recipient and God’s judgement will lay you bare.

Words are mighty weapons, by degrees they wound and maim,
Or they empower and build up, so speak truth wisely in Jesus’ name.
Connect, dissect, confuse, confirm, discern, or disagree,
Castigate, obliterate, or blow to smitherenes.

Affirm, deny, denounce, defend, applaud, reject, or jest,
Make up your mind, do it now, will you curse or simply bless.
Innocent innuendos laced with niceties,
Lacking in sincerity, such verbal atrocities.

Woven webs of deception, the trashing of truth corrupts,
A language devoid of compassion will likely render one bankrupt.
Manipulated madness, criticism that condems,
Gossip only vilifies, whispers and lies, what then.

With the mouth you vomit hypocrisy and spawn the ground of hate.
You spew such words of jugement, please stop, it’s not too late.
Every time you speak such shame it’s the Lord you crucify,
The nails drive deeper by your words and once again He dies.

Say what you mean and mean what you say, this is integrity at its best,
Put to death once and for all, the cyanide of black breath.
Clean out your heart with God’s righteousness, let your speech reflect His love,
Send up the glory due Him as you worship the King from above.

Oh, Dear Lord, arise in me, by Your grace let the honey flow,
Give me Your language, I Thee pray, I’m Your witness wherever I go.
May my speech be ever so lovely, a sweet melody in your ears,
It’s my honor to give You the glory the remainder of all my years.

Prayer Power

Lord God Almighty,  By the power of Your Holy Spirit, help us to put a guard over our mouth so the words that we speak will bless and edify all those in the sound of our voice. At the same time, we desire that they bring honor and glory to You, in  Jesus name. Amen
